Samvaad Foundation

Extending care to those who need it most. We focus on awareness, early identification, and enabling access to support for every child.

Samvaad Foundation

About the Foundation

The Samvaad Foundation was created to extend care beyond the clinic. Its purpose is to support children and families who may not have timely access to early developmental, speech, and communication support.

We believe that early intervention changes lives. The foundation focuses on awareness, early identification, and enabling access to support where it is needed most, ensuring no child is left behind due to lack of resources or information.

What the Foundation Focuses On

Spreading Awareness

Educating communities about early developmental milestones and communication challenges to reduce stigma and hesitation.

Early Identification

Encouraging timely screenings and intervention, because catching signs early leads to significantly better outcomes.

Supporting Access

Bridging the gap for under-served communities by facilitating access to professional therapy and resources.

Community Collaboration

Partnering with schools, parents, and local organizations to create a supportive ecosystem for child development.

On the ground

Community & Outreach

Practical programs that bring awareness, early screening, and affordable care to schools, public health settings, and families across Bengaluru and surrounding areas.

Screening & awareness camps

We run community programs to improve understanding of speech and hearing disabilities, with camps in schools and in rural and semi-urban areas. Infant hearing screening is offered at Yelahanka Government Hospital and two primary health centres. Every Thursday, children are screened at local PHCs for speech and hearing concerns.

Hebbal school resource room

A dedicated resource room at a government school in Hebbal provides speech therapy and hearing services. Children with speech difficulties receive ongoing, on-site therapy so support stays close to the classroom.

Hearing aids for BPL families

Free hearing aids for Below Poverty Line (BPL) card holders, distributed through two dedicated camps for children and adults with hearing impairment.

Therapy at the institute

Speech therapy and Auditory Verbal Therapy (AVT) for children with hearing loss and autism, offered at nominal cost for low-income families. Free speech therapy is available for adults recovering from stroke.

State-of-the-art stroke rehabilitation, Yelahanka

Our stroke rehabilitation centre in Yelahanka offers comprehensive, modern recovery support, made possible in part by an international grant from Rotary International—extending the foundation’s reach from communication care to life after stroke.
